These are some sounds I put together to "enhance" the Marathon experience. Basically, they are amplified shooting sounds with the sound of a shell casing hitting the ground following the shots.
The shell casing sound came from the sound file included with the Marathon Beta (and modified for the grenade launcher). I don't know why Bungie didn't include it with the demo, but it definitely gives more of feeling that you are there.
To install the sounds, you will need ResEdit. Simply open up the Marathon sound file with ResEdit and the include sound file. Then copy and paste the shot sounds into the Marathon sound file replacing all resources with the same ids.
